Thirteen reasons why [info]Yvaine is a Venomous Spider Woman.

1) She is not Victoria.
2) She shrieks like a banshee.
3) She never stops yelling.
4) She can always find something to complain about.
5) She hates everything on earth, especially me.
6) She can't sleep at a normal hour.
7) She goes off without warning to live with strange men.
8) I have to constantly worry about her.
9) There is a deranged witch trying to cut out her heart.
10) A deranged witch trying to kill her means a deranged witch trying to kill me.
11) I have to protect her and myself from said witch.
12) She's making the journey back to Wall take far longer than it should.
13) She's plotting to steal my mushroom.

... Well, not exactly. But I thought that point needed to be included.

Well, yes, but lots of people aren't Victoria, and putting it as the very first on the list rather makes it sound as though you're saying that's one of the qualifications to be a venomous spider woman.

Which I do hope it isn't, since then I suppose that'd make me a venomous spider woman, too.

You're certainly not a venomous spider woman, Rosella. You've only- You've only been kind and gracious to me since I came to this City.

The title of venomous spider woman is reserved for Yvaine.

Well, good! I must say, that's quite a relief to hear.

And I'm sorry you constantly have to worry about Yvaine, but in a way, I'm rather glad that you do.

I suppose she would prefer if I didn't worry about her. Then again, she would prefer us to never speak to each other again.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-08 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
...Did she really tell you that? That she'd rather you never spoke with each other again?

[identity profile] gazingup.livejournal.com 2010-01-08 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, no.

But I assumed it so.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-08 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Not because you'd rather never speak with her again, I hope.

We never really speak to each other, Rosella. We merely argue.

And there, you've hit on exactly the problem.

Yes, I know. You're quite good at it, too, when the two of you get going.

[ sigh ]

I'm glad I'm finally good at something.

Oh, don't be silly! I'm sure you're good at plenty of things.

... I'm good at stocking merchandise.

And that's a duty that a great many people take for granted. But imagine how much more difficult things would be if merchandise wasn't stocked properly! We'd all have a terrible time trying to find the things we wanted, and the shops wouldn't do business as well, and everyone would suffer for it.
